This is the Other Ranks version of the horsehair sporran worn by the Grey and Simcoe Foresters Regiment Pipes & Drums. This is the last designated "Forester" Regiment in existence. Foresters are a very old form of Infantry finding its antecedents in Robin Hood's Sherwood Forest. This sporran features a black horsehair body, 4 white brush tassels with thistle cones in a diamond configuration, a 6" cantle, black targe and a World War I Regimental cap badge.
